Hook Props on Tested
8 September 2026Hook Is Finally Coming Back to 4K for Its 35th Anniversary
After a false start with a premature German pre-order listing, Hook is finally getting the official 4K announcement we have been waiting for.
Sony Pictures has confirmed that Steven Spielberg’s Hook will return on November 17, 2026 in a Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD Steelbook, celebrating the film’s 35th anniversary.
The new release will feature a 4K restoration from the original camera negative with Dolby Vision, along with Dolby Atmos audio and a selection of new archival bonus material.
The biggest surprise is the inclusion of “Hook Never, Never Ending,” a brand-new hour-long documentary featuring never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage from the production, alongside additional material from the Hook archives.
After the earlier German listing appeared before Sony was ready to announce the release, this is the confirmation we were waiting for.
Pre-orders are expected to open soon.
Bangarang. For real this time.
